When people ask how I built my career, I always tell them it started from a place of survival. My family and I left an abusive household when I was sixteen, and I turned to entrepreneurship not because it sounded glamorous, but because I needed a way to help us start over. I put myself through college with that first business, often scraping by. I still remember moving myself into the dorms with just a blanket because I had forgotten a pillow.
Even after graduating, the road wasn’t smooth. I was let go from my first corporate job on New Year’s Eve, at a time when I already felt like I had nothing left to give. But that moment of being at rock bottom is what pushed me to start Ground Plan Studio. What began as a leap of faith became the foundation for a boutique digital marketing firm that has now guided brands of every size, from startups to multi-seven-figure companies...
